European WEEE Directive: Directive 2012/19 / EU of the European Parliament on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

What it says:  

It requires manufacturers to register in every country where they have obligations. It also requires them to report products placed on the market and to finance the collection and recycling or reuse of these goods at the end of the product's life cycle.

BATTERIES

EC Battery Website: European Commission website with information on batteries and accumulators.

What does he say:

Requires recycling of end-of-life batteries. It also prohibits or restricts certain harmful substances in batteries and accumulators. Manufacturers must register and finance the treatment of batteries placed on the market where they have legal obligations.

PACKAGING

European Packaging Directive: European Parliament Directive 94/62 / EC on packaging.

What does he say:

Prohibits some harmful substances in packaging. Requires manufacturer funding for recycling and reuse of packaging materials.
